We have another volunteer date at Gorpley on Wednesday 6th December if you are available to help us with site maintenance. Lots of broken stakes to replace due to damage from sheep that breached the site boundary earlier in the year and heavy wind. Here's a video of Pete expertly restaking one of the larger trees that had a broken stake and was probably pushed over by sheep trying to eat the foliage. The tree was in desperate need of support to help hold it upright until it grows the roots needed to support itself on such an exposed windy site.Drop us an email info@forustree.org to arrange a day for volunteering at Gorpley.#gorpleyreservoir #volunteersneeded #sitemaintenance #treestakes #treeplantinglife #WoodlandCreation ...
